        To go to Ibiza, there are several possibilities. One of them, the one we have shosen, consists in taking the boat in Barcelona, which is at  less than 700 km of Nice (8 hours drive). 

       The boat leaves Barcelona to 23h00, and arrives at Ibiza at 8h00, which gives enough time to rest, for those who wish it, because for most of the travellers, the party has already started...
        Actually, the party really starts in Barcelona (30 °C at 21h30!!!). 

       You get on board at 22h00. It thus remains enough of time to go to visit the neighbourhoods of the port, where there is a multitude of stores, bars, coffees terraces, restaurants. This one, for example represents a submarine.

        During the crossing the discussions are generally done around the bar, with a good  fresh beer. One consults the card of the island, just to make sure not to miss the first get together at 13h00. Yes, yes, everyone appreciates the fact that contrary to the other gatherings, in Ibiza, the first activity suggested by the organizers begins at 13h00, and on the beach!

A small large world 

Eivissa

         On the Road of the Sun of the former phenicians, Ibiza is located in the Western Mediterranean, it has an extension of 572 square kilometres and 200 kilometers of coast. The greatest height is in Atalaissa (475 meters) and in all the water which surrounds it are located a total of 48 small islands, of which some ones, like its Conillera (7,29 kilometers), are in themselves a small natural world. 
        The island of Ibiza is divided into five municipes: Eivissa, the capital; Santa Eulària, San Atoni, San Josep and San Joan. Each one offers to the visitor different and complementary possibilities at the same time.

         Actually, all the island constitutes a small large world which extends as of the coast and towards the interior in a generally broken relief and mountainous which offers any kind of contrasts, which provides the visitors with a spirit of adventure that they can direct towards the culture, the tradition, art, nature, or quite simply to have fun and to party! Because in Ibiza the activities are sped over the twenty-four hours of the day.
        Once on the island, it is necessary, one hand to pay attention to the slippery roads and on the other hand, to the other drivers which are on holiday and do not always pay attention to the trafic. Then again, you might be distracted yourself when you drive by stage things, like this (picture on the right), for example. Yep! in Ibiza, everything seems to be possible.
        Bike Week begins one Sunday. Do not missing it, because a concert is plane, and everybody will be there.
        This year, it was at 13h00, on the beach of Fixed Jondal (approximately 7 km South-west of the port of Elvissa, towards the airport). 

       On the photograph of left, one can see the "sergeant of the beach", in charge of the security. It is a funny character who according to his stories, seems to have fought in all the wars. Always smiling, it will sing you songs accompanied by its guitar and its harmonica.
        Expatriation is total, the sun quite pleasant. One can find there a relaxing sunny beach, or some shade to rest. 
       PS: I always wondered what  was the metal bed for, with a pair of handcuffs fixed on the head of this one!!!
        During this stay, we met superb people, and very friendly clubs, like the "Dead Angels", MC of Germany which ride on Panhead and Shovelhead. We particularly make a point of thanking Andy (on the left on the photograph), who has shown us the places which did not play (or the least possible) of  Techno, because, it is well known that... Ibiza is synonymous with Techno! 
        From Sunday to Thursday, many meeting points are proposed by the organizers; but you can also do other thing in the creazy world of Ibiza, as showned in the following pictures...

 
        Or you can relax, with for example the "Café d'el Mar" in San Antoni and its sun set...
