Sardinia
was very close (1 hour of crossing, just enough time for lunch).

Vinni
On
arrival had a warm welcome from Vinni Giara the
Harley-Davidson (Americana) dealer of Alghero.
|

Vinni
and 10 of his friends drove us to the hotel, which had a
wonderful swimming pool and a remarkable comfort. |
 |
|
|
The evening meal at the " Mojito ", a restaurant night
club, of mexican style was a moment appreciated of
all.
Most of the guys had fun late in the night (good environment
helping).
The organizers (Phido and Cruchot!) had judiciously
envisaged short distances (180 to 300 kms) so that the wakeup
time was not at dawn and that we would not be to tired. |

Tuesday May 2 was the occasion to visit the
dealer, Americana in Alghero and to make some shopping there.

Then we visited the famous vineyards "Sella and
Mosca" with Mr Vittorio Sella. Yes, Italians have good
wine too!!! |
 |
The freshness of the caves of Neptune (after the 300 steps!!!
were the occasion to disillusion us in a decoration of
stalactites and stalagmites baroques and astonishing. |
 |

Nobody will forget the gastronomical quality of the meal
in a farm inn, "Su Manza" with about
thirty "home made" dishes which filled with wonder
our distinguished epicureans taste buds. |

Wednesday May 3, Vinni's associate made us discover a
superb site: a park equipped with a very beautiful
cascade. It did not take long for Phido to taste it in
spite of him...!!!, soon imitated by Miguel, Fred and
Nicolas… crisis of general insane laughter and
imperishable memory.

Thursday May 4 was the occasion to discover the Sardinian
road network worthy of "American highways", and
it is with real surprised that some could appreciate
rectilinear ribbons of bitumen crossing of immense drills
of oaks lieges.
However certain sinuous mountain roads must be negotiated
with precaution, which did not do Christian (alias
Biroute) who missed a curve (without gravity). |

This Thursday in fact was a funny day. Indeed, it began in
the early morning with a breakdown from a battery for
"the Monegasque", then "C." in
the mountains, for finally immobilize Pascal's fatboy, of
Lorraine Chapter...

One needed only a few moments to note, and less time to
repair one of the cables connecting the battery which had
broken. |
 |
At the end of the day, an indigenous by the name of Diego met by our
G.O. during the recognition of the trip, made us discover the most
beautiful places of its area. A beauty still protected from tourism.

At the request of Castelsardo's shopkeepers, we made a parade noticed in
the pretty Sardinian city under the admiring applause of the locals.

Evening in Valledoria with a good "miam miam", a good "glou
glou" and large general crises of laughter until late in the night
(that becomes ritual).
The following day the voices were straightforwardly broken for the
majority of the troop (songs +
insane laughter + grappa +
Mister Jack D... =
voice of Patriiiiiiiiiick Benguigui)
and we came back to Corsica...
